Day 1 - Sunday, January 14: Transatlantic flight to Tel Aviv
Day 2 - Monday, January 15: Tel-Aviv
Welcome to the Holy Land! Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be greeted at the airport by your guide and will transfer to your hotel for overnight and dinner. (D)
Day 3 - Tuesday, January 16:
Caesarea Maritima, Mt. Carmel, Cana - Tiberias
We begin our journey with a visit to Caesarea Maritima. Here we will visit the Roman Theater, Herod’s Palace & the Crusader Citadel. This is where St. Peter baptized the Roman Centurion, Cornelius, and his family. St. Paul was also imprisoned here for two years. We will continue to Mt. Carmel to visit the Cave of the Prophet Elijah and the site of the founding of the Carmelite Order. Our final stop of the day will be Cana of Galilee where we will celebrate Mass and have our married pilgrims reaffirm their marriage vows. Dinner and overnight will be in our Tiberias hotel on the Sea of Galilee. (B, D)
Day 4 - Wednesday, January 17:
Nazareth, Mt. Precipice, Mount Tabor – Tiberias
This morning, we visit Nazareth to the Basilica of the Annunciation, the place where the Angel appeared to Our Blessed Mother and announced the birth of Jesus. We will have lunch at the Holy Land Restaurant before we continue to visit the Church of St. Joseph, built where the carpentry workshop of St. Joseph used to be. Just south of Nazareth is Mount Precipice, the traditional site of the cliff that an angry mob attempted to throw Our Lord from after His bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue. Our final stop of the day will be a drive to Mount Tabor and enjoy the beautiful views of the Jezrell Valley and the Plain of Esdraelon. Visit the Church of the Transfiguration, built on the site of Our Lord's Transfiguration. We'll celebrate Mass here. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 5 - Thursday, January 18: Sea of Galilee - Tiberias
The day opens with Mass on the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Nearby, visit the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter situated at the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Our Lord appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. Afterward, explore the ruins of Capharnaum, including the ancient Jewish synagogue and St. Peter’s house, followed by a flavorful lunch featuring the traditional “St. Peter’s Fish”. Next, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where Our Lord performed many miracles. We will visit Magdala, the hometown of St. Mary Magdalene and before concluding the day, we will visit Yigal Alon Museum to see a 1st c. fishing boat. Return to Tiberias for dinner and overnight. Day 6 - Friday, January 19:
Baptismal Site, Jericho, Qumran, Dead Sea – Jerusalem
Departing Tiberias, we will drive to and visit to Qasr Al Yehoud, the western part of the traditional site of the baptism of Our Lord by St. John the Baptist. Here, we will celebrate mass and renew our Baptismal Promises. After lunch and some shopping in Jericho, we will visit the Caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and enjoy a spectacular view of the Dead Sea. On your way to Jerusalem, you will have an opportunity to wade and float in the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 - Saturday, January 20: Jerusalem
This morning, visit the Mount of Olives for a beautiful panoramic view of Jerusalem. Continue down on the Palm Sunday road on Mount Olivet visiting the Church of Dominus Flevit, where Our Lord wept over the city of Jerusalem. Arrive into the Kidron Valley to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, where Our Lord began the way of His Passion. It is here that we will celebrate Mass. Then in the afternoon, to Mount Zion to visit and have a time of Praise and Worship in the Upper Room where the Last Supper took place, the Church of the Dormition erected on the spot where Our Lady was assumed into heaven, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where St. Peter denied Our Lord. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)
Day 8 - Sunday, January 21: Bethlehem - Jerusalem
Beginning our day on a sightseeing tour of Bethlehem, the royal city of David, to celebrate Mass and to pray at the Cave of the Nativity, the birthplace of Our Lord. Continue to Shepherds’ Field, also the site of Boaz’s field, to see the cave of the shepherds where the angels appeared and announced the birth of Christ. After lunch at Casa Nova Restaurant, we will enjoy the opportunity to do some shopping at a Christian Coop Store for olive wood items and help support the local Christians in Bethlehem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)
Day 9 - Monday, January 22: Jerusalem
Early this morning, carry the cross and follow the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross, ending with the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where we will celebrate Mass. Then, enjoy an in-depth tour of this church, including a visit to the tomb of our forefather Adam and the tombs of Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, as well as a tour of the Holy Sepulcher chapels. We will have breakfast back at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B, D)
Day 10 - Tuesday, January 23:
Jerusalem, Ein Karem – Transatlantic flight
Today’s sightseeing will start with a visit to Judaism’s holiest site, the Western Wall. Afterward, visit the Church of St. Anne, erected over the traditional site of the birthplace of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Continue to the Pools of Bethesda excavations, identified as the scene of the healing of the paralytic. Then, visit the Flagellation Church that enshrines the spot where Our Lord was flogged. Next is Ecce Homo Church, erected where Pontius Pilate presented Our Lord to the hostile Jewish crowd. Before heading to the airport, we will travel to the “hill country of Judea” to the city of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. Visit the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation, built over the home of Zacharias. Here we will celebrate Mass. Finally, enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the success of a beautiful journey before transferring to the airport for a night flight home. (B, FD)
For those continuing on to Jordan, we will return to the
hotel in Jerusalem for our overnight.
Day 11 - Wednesday, January 24: Jerusalem, Jordan – Petra
We begin our day with our border crossing to Jordan by way of the Allenby Bridge. We continue to Mt. Nebo where Moses stood to view the Promised Land. Here we will have Mass. Before continuing to Petra to our hotel for dinner and overnight, we will visit Madaba and the Madaba Church with the famous Byzantine period church housing the mosaic showing the city of Jerusalem amongst other locations, and enjoy an afternoon walk through this beautiful yet simple town. Day 12 - Thursday, January 25: Petra
We start the day with Mass and after breakfast, we begin a long day with our visit to Petra. From the main entrance, we travel on foot through the awesome "siq", an immense crack in the sandstone that winds for one kilometer between overhanging cliffs. (There is the option to ride a horse to the beginning of the siq.) Petra's most famous monument, the Treasury, appears dramatically at the end of the siq. Various walks & climbs reveal literally hundreds of buildings, facades, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples & a 3000 seat theater from the 1st Century AD. Our guide provides explanation & orientation as we walk to the Treasury. We return to our hotel in Petra for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
Day 13 - Friday, January 26: Petra - Amman - Depart for USA
After breakfast, and a leisure morning, we depart Petra. We will begin our day with a visit the Baptismal Site of Our Lord on the Jordan side. Here we will celebrate Mass. Before heading to Amman Airport for our Transatlantic flight home, we will make a stop for dinner and enjoy a bus guided tour of the city. (B)
Day 14 - Saturday, January 27: Arrive in USA
