Day 1 - Sunday, February 09, 2025: Transatlantic flight to Tel Aviv
Day 2 - Monday, February 10, 2025: Tel-Aviv
Welcome to the Holy Land! Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be greeted at the airport by your guide and will transfer to your hotel in Herzliya for dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 3 - Tuesday, February 11, 2025:
Caesarea Maritima, Mt. Carmel, Nazareth, Cana - Tiberias
We begin our journey with a visit to Caesarea Maritima. Here we will visit the Roman Theater, Herod’s Palace & the Crusader Citadel. This is where St. Peter baptized the Roman Centurion, Cornelius, and his family. St. Paul was also imprisoned here for two years. We will continue to Mt. Carmel to visit the Cave of the Prophet Elijah and the site of the founding of the Carmelite Order. Afterwards, we continue to Nazareth to the Basilica of the Annunciation, the place where the Angel appeared to Our Blessed Mother and announced the birth of Jesus and celebrate mass. Our final stop of the day will be Cana of Galilee where we will have our married pilgrims reaffirm their marriage vows. Dinner and overnight will be in our Tiberias hotel on the Sea of Galilee. Day 4 - Wednesday, February 12, 2025: Sea of Galilee - Tiberias
The day opens with Mass on the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Nearby, visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, where the miracle of the Feeding of Five Thousand took place. Continue to the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter situated at the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Our Lord appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. Afterwards, explore the ruins of Capharnaum, including the ancient Jewish synagogue and St. Peter’s house, followed by a flavorful lunch featuring the traditional “St. Peter’s Fish” at Pilgerhaus. Next, enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, where Our Lord performed many miracles. we will visit Yigal Alon Museum to see a 1st c. fishing boat. Our last stop for the day a visit of Magdala, home of St. Mary Magdalene. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 5 - Thursday, February 13, 2025:
Mount Tabor, Baptismal Site, Jericho – Jerusalem
Departing Tiberias, we will drive to Mount Tabor and enjoy beautiful views of the Jezreel Valley and the Plain of Esdraelon. Visit the Church of the Transfiguration, built on the site of Our Lord’s Transfiguration and celebrate Mass. We will continue with a visit to Qasr Al Yehud, the western part of the traditional site of the baptism of Our Lord by St. John the Baptist. Then we will drive to the oldest inhabited city in the world, Jericho and break for lunch. In Jericho, you view the exact location, the Mount of Temptation, where the Devil tempted Jesus during his forty-day fast (Luke 4:1). We will then drive towards Jerusalem to check-in into our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem (B, L, D)
Day 6 - Friday, February 14, 2025: Shepherds’ Field, Bethlehem, Ein Karem
Beginning our day on a sightseeing tour of Bethlehem, start with the Shepherds’ Field, also the site of Boaz’s field, to see the cave of the shepherds where the angels appeared and announced the birth of Christ. Continue to the royal city of David, to celebrate Mass and to pray at the Cave of the Nativity, the birthplace of Our Lord. After lunch at Casa Nova Restaurant, we will enjoy the opportunity to do some shopping at a Christian Coop Store. On our way back to Jerusalem; we will travel to the “hill country of Judea” to the city of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist. Visit the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation, built over the home of Zacharias. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, L, D)
Day 7 - Saturday, February 15, 2025:
Mount of Olives, Mount Zion, Jewish Quarter
This morning, visit Mount of Olives for a beautiful panoramic view of Jerusalem. Continue down on the Palm Sunday Road on Mount Olivet visiting the Church of Dominus Flevit, where Our Lord wept over the city of Jerusalem. Arrive into the Kidron Valley to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, where Our Lord began the way of His Passion. It is here that we will celebrate Mass. After lunch on your own, we drive to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room where the Last Supper took place, Church of the Dormition erected on the spot where Our Lady was assumed into heaven, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, where St. Peter denied Our Lord. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Western Wall, which is the last remnant of the Jewish Temple after it was destroyed in 70 A.D. Return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Day 8 - Sunday, February 16, 2025: Bethany, Masada, Qumran, Dead Sea
Following breakfast at your hotel, we will drive to Bethany where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead which foreshadows His own Resurrection. Celebrate Mass in Bethany. We will then drive along the Judean wilderness to visit Masada, where we will ascend high upon the wilderness mountain by way of the cable car to the fortress built by King Herod. Here we survey the ruins of the fortifications, waterworks, synagogue, temples and palaces. We will then visit the Caves of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and enjoy a spectacular view of the Dead Sea. On your way to Jerusalem, you will have an opportunity to wade and float in the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B, D)
Day 9 - Monday, February 17, 2025: Jerusalem – Airport
Early this morning, carry the cross and follow the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross, ending with the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where we will celebrate Mass. Then, enjoy an in-depth tour of this church, including a visit to the tomb of our forefather Adam and the tombs of Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, as well as a tour of the Holy Sepulcher chapels. We will have a breakfast back at the hotel and a short rest. Check out and drive to visit the Church of St. Anne, erected over the traditional site of the birthplace of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Continue to the Pool of Bethesda excavations, identified as the scene of the healing of the paralytic. Then, visit the Flagellation Church that enshrines the spot where Our Lord was flogged. Next is Ecce Homo Church, erected where Pontius Pilate presented Our Lord to the hostile Jewish crowd. We will then enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate the success of a beautiful journey before transferring to the airport for a night flight home. (B, FD)
For those continuing to Egypt, you will head back to the hotel in Jerusalem for another overnight stay.
Day 10 - Tuesday, February 18, 2025: Jerusalem, Taba Border
After breakfast and checkout, drive to Taba Border to cross into Egypt. Meet our new guide and driver at Taba border. Next we will drive to Saint Catherine Monastery. Dinner and overnight in St. Catherine Monastery. (B, D)
Day 11 - Wednesday, February 19, 2025:
Mount Sinai, St. Catherine Monastery, Cairo
Early morning climb up to Mountain Sinai. After our descend, we will have breakfast and then visit Saint Catherine’s Monastery & Burning Bush. After lunch, we begin our drive to Cairo for dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
Day 12 - Thursday, February 20, 2025: Pyramids, Old Cairo
Full day tour visiting the Great Pyramids & Old Cairo Churches. Dinner & overnight in Cairo. (B, D)
Day 13 - Friday, February 21, 2025: Cairo – Airport
Depending on our flight time, we will depart after breakfast for our flight back to the USA.
