Day 1: Tuesday, April 22 - Depart USA
Transatlantic flight to Paris, France
Day 2: Wednesday, April 23 - Arrive, Paris
Upon arriving at the Paris airport, make your way to the baggage claim area and collect your luggage and then proceed to the arrival’s hall, where you will be greeted by your tour guide and fellow pilgrims. We will begin our tour before heading to the hotel. Balance of the day at your leisure. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant and overnight. (D)
Day 3: Thursday, April 24 - Paris
We begin today with Mass in the Chapel of Apparitions at the Motherhouse of the Daughters of Charity, site of the repose of St. Louise de Marilac and St. Vincent de Paul. Our visit continues at the Motherhouse of Vincentians, plus a visit of the museum. This afternoon we make our way to visit Sacre Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart). Dinner and overnight in Paris. Day 4: Friday, April 25 - Paris/Lisieux/Paris
After breakfast depart for Lisieux. According to Pope Pius X, St. Therese of Lisieux was the “greatest saint of modern times.” Her extraordinary love for God and service to humanity will come alive as you walk in the great Saint’s footsteps. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Basilica of St. Therese and the magnificent mosaics and stained-glass windows contained within. You will have the opportunity as well to view relics, clothing, and personal objects of St. Therese, when you visit her family home, Les Buissonets. Additionally, you will tour the Carmelite Convent, where she entered in 1888, currently entombed with her parents. Time for personal reflections. Return to Paris for overnight. (B)
Day 5: Saturday, April 26 - Paris
Today our itinerary includes a panoramic tour of some famous tourist sites, including the Champs Elysees, Arc d’Triomphe, Invalides, Place de la Concorde, Place Vendome, and the Opera. In the afternoon we enjoy a visit to the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular panoramic view from the second floor. Dinner and overnight. (B)
Day 6: Sunday, April 27 - Paris/Chartres/Paris
This morning, your day begins with an early breakfast before we depart for Chartres, known worldwide for its massive Cathedral Notre Dame and its incredible stained-glass windows from the 12th and 13th centuries. The World Heritage site, UNESCO, calls the Cathedral “the high point of French Gothic art” and a “masterpiece” You will have some free time for lunch, on your own, in the quaint town of Chartres. After lunch we will return to Paris for overnight. (B)
Day 7: Monday, April 28 - Paris
Our tour this morning includes the Cathedral of Notre Dame, plus St. Chapelle, with its amazing stained-glass windows. The afternoon is at our leisure for shopping. Tonight enjoy a Seine River cruise dinner. Overnight. (B, D)
Day 8: Tuesday, April 29 - Paris/ Louvre/Paris
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart this morning for the world renown Le Louvre. The Louvre is the world's most-visited museum and a historic monument in Paris. It is the home of many of the most known work of arts, including the Mona Lisa. Dinner on your own. (B)
Day 9: Wednesday, April 30 - Paris
Full day at leisure for individual visits. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight. (B, FD)
Day 10: Thursday, May 1 - Paris/USA
We transfer to the Paris airport for our return flight to the USA. (B)
