All pilgrimages put together by Journey of Faith Tours, LLC is a group pilgrimage – not individual travel. Pilgrims are expected, but not required, to participate in the scheduled itinerary. Should one choose not to join in a particular activity(ies), no refund or compensation for missed touring will be given. As with all group travel, we ask that all pilgrims be courteous and punctual at all times, keeping in mind that the group has a scheduled itinerary. If a pilgrim is continuously late for scheduled activities, it will be their responsibility to find their way to the next group activity at their own expense.
Young Travelers: Our pilgrimages are designed for adult travelers who will appreciate the visited sites and adhere to the pilgrimage spirit. Pilgrims under the age of 18 on the day of departure must be accompanied by an adult.
Pilgrims will take full responsibility for being fully able to participate in the daily scheduled activities of the group, noting that pilgrimages organized by Journey of Faith Tours, LLC require physical fitness in order to keep up with the pace of the group. Pilgrims must be medically and physically able to travel and ensure that such travelling will not endanger themselves or others. Most pilgrimages entail a lot of walking, stairs, hills, cobblestone roads, etc.
Keeping the group pace: A certain pace must be kept in order to cover the scheduled tours. Out of courtesy for the other group members, each pilgrim is responsible for traveling at the group pace. One may choose not to participate in parts of the tours; however, there is no refund or compensation for missed itinerary locations. If a Pilgrim is unable or unwilling to keep up with the pace of the group, Journey of Faiths Tours, LLC is happy to discuss actions that the pilgrim can take to catch up with the group. However, any additional transportation expenses, hired services, missed activities, etc. will not be reimbursed by Journey of Faith Tours, LLC. Please contact our offices PRIOR to enrolling in one of our pilgrimages for further clarification.
Physical Demands / Full mobility required: Please note that pilgrimages organized by Journey of Faith Tours, LLC are not wheelchair or motorized scooter accessible, unless otherwise noted in the detailed pilgrimage brochure. Therefore, our pilgrimages are not for individuals with walking difficulties or mobility issues. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC cannot provide individual assistance to any pilgrim. If there are cities that have a golf cart available, it is not included in the pilgrimage cost and will be paid by the individual as needed.
There is daily walking and standing, and some days may be more intense than others. At times, some of the sidewalks and terrain will be uneven. We strongly recommend preparing oneself by walking 3 months before the pilgrimage, gaining strength to walk at least 1-2 miles without discomfort per day. Walking sticks are recommended for those that need extra assistance. They will not be provided by Journey of Faith Tours, LLC or our third-party representatives. Pilgrims agree that they are prepared for the physical challenges of pilgrimage and that they will not hold Journey of Faith Tours, LLC liable for trip disruption or injury resulting from the physical demands of the trip as outlined here therein.
Special Needs / Medical Conditions: While it is our goal to provide the highest level of service to all our pilgrims, we cannot guarantee special facilities or assistance for disabled passengers and it is your responsibility to arrange for such assistance as required. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC is not responsible for any medical conditions that may occur prior, during or after the pilgrimage.
All pilgrimage prices are based on air fare, land rates and rates of exchange in effect at the time of arrangements. All rates are subject to change without prior notice. As all services are contracted and prepaid on a group basis, no refund can be granted for any accommodation, services or events which are not used. If you deviate from the group, no consideration can be given to a refund for unused services. Should the rates go up or down prior to departure, an adjustment will be made as each pilgrimage is subject to a minimum number of pilgrims. In the event of fewer pilgrims than the minimum, we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly.
A valid passport with an expiration date of at least 6 months after the traveling dates is required for all pilgrims. A Passport Card is not useful for International Air Travel. Attempting to use this instead of a Passport Book will result in a denial of boarding by the airlines and entry by the legal authorities. Pilgrims are responsible for providing a clear photocopy or scan of their passport at least 100 days before traveling. Pilgrims will be responsible for name change fees charged by the airline if they do not provide their name as it appears on their passport.
Travel Documents: Non-US citizens, please contact the proper embassy or consulate to see if you require a tourist visa for the visited country(ies). When and if a visa is required, it is the pilgrim’s responsibility to obtain one. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC is not liable for pilgrims not having proper passports, visa, or other travel documents. Cancellations due to the lack of appropriate documents will incur penalties.
All Pilgrims are responsible for obtaining and presenting the required documents necessary for participating in each pilgrimage. These may include, but are not limited to a valid passport, travel visa where necessary, immunization record if required by the destination(s) visited, etc.
If a Pilgrim does not or cannot obtain the proper documents to travel, regardless of how or when the discovery is made, he/she will be solely responsible for any cancellation penalties that are in effect at the time of discovery.
Journey of Faith Tours, LLC assumes no responsibility for procurement of passports or visas. Obtaining and carrying these documents is the sole responsibility of the pilgrim. We will not be responsible for any delays, damages and/or losses, including missed portions of your pilgrimage due to improper travel documentation.
Please note that seating is solely in the hands of the airline. With group travel, seats are randomly assigned. When you are travelling with a companion, please make this note at the time of reservation and we will make every effort to provide you with joined seating.
If pilgrims are not flexible regarding their seat assignment, it is strongly suggested to choose the ‘Land Only’ option and reserve his/her own air travel. Seats under group travel are economy seats and often cannot be upgraded. We would recommend early arrival at the airport to try to change or upgrade your seat.
If a pilgrim requests to be included in the group air reservation and later decides to purchase their own plan ticket, they will incur a $150 per person penalty fee charged by the airline if it is within 110 days of departure.
These numbers may be provided directly to the airline by the pilgrim once they receive the pilgrimage documents from Journey of Faith Tours, LLC or at the airport prior to departure.
Land Only packages exclude all group airfare. This also means flights booked within the group itinerary if required. All airline tickets will be your responsibility to book independently. Please note that if you opt for the Land Only package or are deviating from the group itinerary, you will be responsible for your own roundtrip transfers to and from the airport. However, if you arrive at the same time or earlier than your group, you are welcome to join the group on the bus. It is recommended you purchase your air transportation only after you have been notified the group has materialized. If you purchase your own air transportation and the group does not materialize, Journey of Faith Tours, LLC will not be held responsible for the cost of your airfare or other arrangements booked independently. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC has no responsibility in waiting for land-only passengers past the meeting time, even in the case of a delayed or canceled flight. The rest of the group must proceed with the scheduled airport transfer. If a land-only passenger is late, they will be fully responsible for catching with the group.
Pilgrims who registered for group air, who later decide to switch to ‘land-only’ are responsible for a $300.00 service charge, should the change be made within 100 days of departure.
If you purchase your own airline transportation and the group does not materialize or you decide to cancel for any reason, Journey of Faith Tours, LLC will not be held responsible for the cost of your airfare.
The pilgrimage price is based on two people sharing a hotel room with two twin beds and private facilities. (Double beds are subject to availability)
Single Rooms: Private rooms are possible on a request basis. A limited number of single rooms are available at the single supplement price. These rooms are sometimes smaller than a twin room and maybe separate from the room block. In case they are all taken, there may be an additional fee for a double room as a single occupancy.
Double Rooms: Pilgrims are to provide us with the name of their travel roommate at the time of registration. If pilgrims wish to have Journey of Faith Tours, LLC assign a roommate, we will do our best; however, if we cannot find a roommate, we will ask if the passenger would like to pay the single supplement fee.
Partial room cancellation – If a pilgrim cancels or leaves a pilgrimage and a roommate remains, an additional single supplement may apply.
Triple Rooms: Triple accommodation is not always possible. There is no reduction in cost and due to the pace of our pilgrimages, we do not recommend triple rooms. However, for the hotels that are set up for a triple, a third bed might be a sofa bed or a fold up bed.
All pilgrims who have specific dietary needs and restrictions are encouraged to disclose such information to Journey of Faith Tours, LLC in writing prior to departure. While we will make a reasonable effort to notify our third-party suppliers and representatives overseas, although we cannot guarantee, we will try to accommodate all special meal requests. It is the pilgrims' responsibility to ensure all food consumed meets their needs and restrictions while on pilgrimage.

Please check with the specific airline being used for your pilgrimage to verify the size and weight allowances. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC is not responsible for additional charges collected by the pilgrim at the airport for overweight luggage, and the loss of, theft of, delay, damage or confiscated items to a pilgrim’s belongings should be reported directly to the airline.
Expenses and items not specifically mentioned in the pilgrimage brochure are NOT covered, including but not limited to passport and visa fees, meals not listed and items of a personal nature such as phone calls, mini bar, laundry, wines, liquors (when not mentioned), sightseeing or services other than those specifically mentioned, excess baggage and travel insurance, etc.
Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Journey of Faith Tours, LLC is not responsible for any cancellations, loss, delays, injury, illness, or expenses incurred due to actions made by the airlines.
